It’s becoming increasingly clear that the only relationship between osteoporosis and menopause is the time frame within which they manifest themselves. The serious research is also showing that compared with other dietary changes, turning to dairy products doesn’t seem to do the business of building stronger bones. Most Asian peoples, who don’t consume dairy products and lead a traditional lifestyle, rarely exhibit osteoporosis.
And despite what they say, it is reversible in many cases.
The problem is once again rooted in our diet and lifestyle. We don’t eat enough mineral-rich leafy greens and other vegetables, unrefined pulses and grains, and meanwhile the refined flours, sugars and synthetic and junk foods leach out what minerals we have, reducing our bone mass and immune systems.
The proof of the pudding for all these “cures” is literally in the eating. You don’t have to believe it, and it doesn’t cost much to try it (often your food bills are reduced). Just do it and watch the changes. What you realise is not that they are “Miracle Cures”, it’s just that when you put the right fuels in the tank the motor runs much better.
