100% raw, cold extracted, unfiltered, Wild Lavender honey is the backbone of the Portuguese honey harvest. Lavender honey is known locally as Rosmaninho. This honey is made by bees foraging on the Lavandula Stoechas plant, a wild ancestor of the cultivated lavenders without the perfumed lavender smell. It grows extensively over the hillsides of many areas of Portugal including the Algarve and Alentejo, where this honey comes from.
