Health food shop in Bristol

We’re Wild Oats, and we’re more than your average health food shop in Bristol. Sure, we have a truly extensive range of natural foods, supplements, vegan skincare and so much more, but it’s our staff and our ties to the local Bristol community that makes the real difference.

Our friendly team are not only eager to assist you, but many of them have a deep level of knowledge in specialised fields and are health practitioners in their own right.

So, pop in to one of our indepedent shops in Bristol to see what we can do for you. You’ll find our flagship health food shop on Lower Redland Road in Redland, and we have two stalls in St Nicholas Market that showcases our bestselling supplements and natural skincare range.

The tide has truly changed and eating healthily and as organically and/or as locally as possible is becoming mainstream. We have seen the dawning of interest in the whole cycle of food production.

We want to know that our food is being grown in an ethical manner without chemicals and that the producers are getting a fair deal. Fresh, local, fairly traded and organic food benefits not only the environment and the producers but your health too.

How to live a sustainable, healthy lifestyle

We’re an independent Bristol business with a team who are passionate about your health and promoting ways for you to live as sustainably as possible. That’s always been at the heart of what we do. If you want to know more about how to live a healthy lifestyle, then take a look at our Health Hub that offer in-depth health advice on a range of areas!

We continually re-evaluate our use of resources to help reduce the total impact we have on our planet. We reuse and recycle our eco-friendly packaging for our online orders and encourage you to do so too! We love working with fellow local independent businesses and suppliers that share our ethos which helps reduce the miles of every delivery.

Bulk refills have really boomed recently, but we’ve been selling oats and grains straight from the bag ever since we opened our doors over 40 years ago. If you’d like to reduce the amount of single use plastic you use, then we’d love to see you come to our store and fill your own reusable container with all your favourite grains, pulses, mueslis, and dried fruits. And we don’t stop at refillable natural foods. We also have a wide range of refillable household products including shampoos, conditioners and body washes by Faith in Nature and household cleaning products like Ecover multi-action spray and hand sanitiser.

Shopping at Wild Oats you can be confident that we have done all in our power to support, protect and promote the environment, our suppliers and your health.
