Barre Fitness has officially launched in Bristol at The Barre Fitness Studio!

Have you seen the new fitness studio down the road? The Barre Fitness Studio has been open for 8 months now, and we are so happy to have them as a part of our local community. They are the only specialist barre Studio in Bristol with a variety of teachers combining over 40 years experience barre.

What is the Barre Method & Why Should We Try It?

The Barre Method is a blended workout fusing elements from various exercising methods. You'll find the movement of ballet, the stretching of yoga, the core focus of pilates and the strengthening of functional exercise. Each class is designed for mixed abilities and we welcome everyone, with modifications given throughout each class. All formats on the Menu are designed to music and are super energising for the mind and body.

Using the barre, props including mats, weights, resistance bands and pilates balls we take you through a full body, low impact workout – no jumping or high impact moves unless you want to!

The small, targeted isometric movements fatigue the muscles, helping to strengthen and tone your body, resulting in the ‘burn’ and ‘shake’ barre has become synonymous for.

How Effective is Barre Exercise?

A few classes at The Barre will leave you standing taller, more mobile, flexible. Seeing an improvement in muscle tone and strength throughout your whole body and a sense of wellbeing.

Combining barre with your current exercise routine, for example running will support your training and enhance what you already do. Taking 3 to 4 classes a week alone will see you get results in as little as 6 weeks. The secret is in the small movements exhausting the muscles to make you stronger and more toned.

We also specialise in Pre and Post Natal exercise in a class format and private 1:1's.

The Barre Menu fuses together the latest innovations in functional movement training, HIIT, cardio, and mobility work. Classes are always small so they can remain supportive and full of movement you’re going to fall in love with.
